Farmers For Free Trade continues to push back against tariffs
Farmers for Free Trade continues to push back against the Trump administration’s tariffs in a new campaign.
The group says it plans to advertise in states that will be hit the hardest by Chinese retaliatory tariffs. The states include: Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
The president of the Farmers for Free Trade board says the ads speak directly to farmers who are being negatively impacted by the trade dispute with China.
Indiana soybean farmer Brent Bible says his farm and others like it are the first casualties of the trade war.
The campaign was launched on Wednesday, the same day that Trump announced plans for another $16 billion dollars in tariffs on Chinese goods.
