New Minnesota FFA president wants members to feel valued

The newly elected state president of Minnesota FFA wants to enhance the experience of FFA members.

Grace Taylor of the Randolph FFA Chapter says her main goal as president is to make members feel valued.

“Because if we want to grow in premiere leadership and personal success (and) career success, then we need to feel welcome and valued.”

She credits FFA with bringing value to her life.

“I think it’s shown me the meaning of human connection.  It’s shown me what I can do with my talents.  And shown me that I have the opportunity to grow.”

And speaking to Brownfield minutes after being named state president, Taylor says it’s been a whirlwind of emotions.

“I kind of made peace with the fact that understanding we don’t know what’s going to happen is okay, and we can find peace in that moment and kind of just go with the flow.  And whatever happens, happens.”

Brownfield interviewed Taylor at the conclusion of the 89th Minnesota FFA Convention Tuesday afternoon.
