Wisconsin’s new Alice in Dairyland has been selected.  Crystal Siemers-Peterman from Manitowoc County will succeed Ann O’Leary starting June 5th.

Siemers-Peterman grew up on a dairy farm near Cleveland and will graduate this month from the University of Minnesota with a degree in agricultural and food business management.  She also minored in marketing.  Siemers-Peterman will spend the next two weeks in training before she begins her one-year long job of promoting Wisconsin’s agriculture industry.

As Alice, Siemers-Peterman will travel about 40,000 miles speaking at events and giving media interviews. She will also present lessons in more than 100 Wisconsin classrooms.
