NK agronomist advises “Be ready to roll”

Ernie Newquist, Western Corn Belt Agronomist for NK Seeds tells Brownfield the drought had a great impact on the areas of Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas in 2022. Although it is present in every county in Iowa and is slowly moving west, the hot and dry conditions during the last growing season kept Tar Spot at bay.

Newquist’s advice to growers is to get those crops in as early as possible in 2023 because of limited moisture. Most growers he works with are ramping up and ready to go as soon as conditions allow.

NK Seeds is launching 20 new products in 2024.
