Nobel laureates blast Greenpeace on GMO stance

Over 100 Nobel laureates—past winners of the Nobel prize–have signed a letter blasting the organization Greenpeace over its anti-GMO stance.

The laureates contend that Greenpeace, through its campaigns against the use of GMO crops, are damaging science. They contend that Greenpeace and its allies deliberately went out of their way to scare the public and raise money for their cause.

Greenpeace has responded by saying that GMO crops have not been definitively proven to address issues of malnutrition and food scarcity around the world, and have only enriched corporations.
