Farmer support enables ISA research

For fifteen years, the Iowa Soybean Association has been doing serious research resulting in greater production, profitability and sustainability among its member growers.  The organization, with it’s own in-house research staff, does agronomic as well as environmental and conservation research leading to data that farmers can use to be better at what they do, according to Ed Anderson, who is senior director for research at the Iowa Soybean Association.

“The support that the farmers continue to give us, the leveraged support that our teams are able to get from non-government organizations, from federal agencies, from companies to support us, allow us to do edge-of-field projects and partnerships that I don’t think would have been possible otherwise,” Anderson told Brownfield Ag News at the Iowa Soybean Association Research Conference in Des Moines.  “It’s very exciting.”
