Working to keep the water clean
Ruth King is with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources office in Spooner, she works with storm water management and grants including targeted runoff management grants for small farms. The goal is to keep phosphorus and other sediment out of water, “Very often people will work through their county land conservation departments to apply for these grants.” Funds are limited so the grants are competitive.
