Using drones in agriculture

How big of a role will drones have in the future of the agriculture industry?  Kevin Price with the Kansas State University Department of Agronomy says the new technologies available with unmanned aircraft systems are beneficial in areas of research.  It allows those that are using the drones to scout fields, check on livestock, and other agricultural applications.

Many still question the use of drones because of privacy concerns.  While he says they aren’t unwarranted, Price tells Brownfield these unmanned systems have the same surveillance capabilities as a helicopter or regular airplane.
