At the recent Cattle Industry Summer Conference in Denver, we chatted with Phil Seng, president and CEO of the U.S. Meat Export Federation. Seng talked the current state of beef exports, how the beta-agonist controversy might affect exports, and the importance of market assistance funds in the farm bill. He also commented on Country-of-Origin-Labeling as it relates to the Canada and Mexico markets for beef.
