Promoting better root structure

For soybean growers looking for ways to maximize return on investment on inputs, Russ Berndt, Product Manager for Inoculants in Legume Crops with Becker Underwood tells Brownfield, one of the key things they need to look at is VAULT HP, a bio-stacked product with a robust rhizobial inoculant and enhancer that helps stimulate root nodulation. Improved nodulations means more nitrogen-fixation potential and greater plant vigor. VAULT HP also contains an EPA registered bio-fungicide component that extends suppression of Rhizoctonia and Fusarium fungal diseases and helps promote better root structure and vigor.

Becker Underwood is looking at biological solutions that can enhance traditional fungicides and insecticides to provide additional crop health protection beyond the traditional actives. Berndt tells Brownfield this is a sustainable approach to plant health.

Following a drought year, getting the crop off to a good start in the 2013 growing season will be critical.
