Portage County setting up for a unique show in 2014

BrishOne of the unique aspects of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is that the show moves around the state, hosted by a different county each year. The 2014 show will be in Portage County and will be unique in a couple of ways. First, the show will be the second week of August to accommodate the harvesting of some of the specialty crops grown in the county like potatoes and green beans. Another unique aspect of the show is the chair of the Portage County Executive Committee; Sara Brish is Executive Director of the Stevens Point Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. One other unique feature, the collector toy for the show is a potato harvester. The host farms are right along Interstate Highway 39.
