Neonics valuable on corn

AgInfomatics, LLC started in June of 2013 to develop a comprehensive estimate of the economic benefits of neonicotinoids.  Peter Nowak, emeritus professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison is owner of AgInfomatics, LLC.  He tells Brownfield research and analysis shows that neonicotinoid seed treatments are valuable to U.S. agriculture.

Nowak said research shows it would cost much more to grow crops without this tool.  Research shows without the use of neonics, the projected cost increase is $848 million per year, the U.S. economy would lose between $4 – 4.3 billion and safety would decrease greatly on the farm because neonics would be replaced with pyrethroids and organophosphates.
