Efficient energy use a key for today’s farm
Arch Electric of Plymouth, Wisconsin works extensively with energy efficiency projects on farms and businesses across the state. Chris Merklein says one if the first things they often look at is the lights, what was the best technology 20 years ago is no longer efficient. Another thing they look at is fans; there’s no need to run them at full speed, 24 hours a day.
He also says there are a number of government programs which will help small businesses and farms make the improvements.
