Amy introduces AMI
Many companies choose World Dairy Expo as the place to introduce their latest innovation; such is the case with BouMatic and their AMI 5450. Amy Steinke says the automatic detacher features a milk sensor that measures temperature and conductivity in the milk. The unit features an active milk flow graph and a programmable prep timer. The AMI can be paired with BouMatic’s Smart Dairy Controller or it can be used as an individual unit. There is a keypad on the AMI which will store information from the last 60 milkings. The thresholds can be set by the operator to accommodate the characteristics of their herd.
