Coffee Stops finish up with a great discussion from local farmers

2013 Coffee StopsIn Poseyville, Indiana, local farmers joined the area Case IH dealers at The Red Wagon Restaurant to wrap up the two week Brownfield and Case IH Coffee Stops Tour.  With coffee and breakfast, farmers met with each other and Case IH employees before hearing a program with Brownfield’s Meghan Grebner and two local farmers.

Joe Steinkamp and Mark Seib, both farmers from southern Indiana, shared information about the soybean industry.  Steinkamp, a member of the American Soybean Association gave farmers a perspective on what he believes are the biggest challenges in agriculture today.  Steinkamp said that food security in the minds of consumers is the biggest challenges as agriculture works to ensure that people know how safe our food supply is.

Seib is a director on the United Soybean board.  He spoke about how the Board is designed to identify and develop new markets for soybean producers.  He explained how the Board does not function as a lobbying organization and how it helps producers nationwide.

A large thanks goes out to Case IH and of course, America’s farmers for joining Brownfield for the 2013 Coffee Stops.
