Badgerland Financial

Internship

Badgerland Financial Internship- Applicants must be majoring in agriculture, business, or a related field. Internships available include crop insurance intern and credit intern.

Scholarship

Badgerland Financial Scholarship- ($1,000) High school seniors who are pursuing studies in an agriculture-related field may apply. Applicant must live in or attend school in one of the 33 counties served by Badgerland Financial and demonstrate leadership and academics and extracurricular excellence. Applications are due depending on Badgerland Financial branch dates.

Delta Theta Sigma

Scholarship

Delta Theta Sigma Scholarship- ($1,000) High school seniors who will be attending the University of Wisconsin- Madison or the Madison Area Technical College can apply. Applications are due Jan. 31.

Foremost Farms USA

Scholarship

Cow-elge Cash Scholarship- ($2,000) Applicants must have an interest in continuing their education in an agricultural oriented occupational field. Student must plan to be enrolled full time at any university, college, or vocational- technical school. Applications are due Feb. 26.

GROWMARK

Internship

GROWMARK Internships- GROWMARK offers a variety of internships that allow student to see a “real world” agribusiness environment focused on sales, marketing, and customer service activities. Students will receive experience in agronomy, energy, accounting, and grain systems.

Scholarship

GROWMARK Essay Contest for FFA-($500) FFA members must submit essay on provided topic and focus on careers in agriculture: agribusiness, food/ processing, government/ industry groups, and production/ farming. Applications are due March 12.

Phi Delta Kappa International

Scholarship

Prospective Educator Scholarship-($1,000) High school senior who is a member of the Future Educators Association or a child/ grandchild of a Kappan who is interested in majoring in education may apply.

United Cooperative

Scholarship

United Cooperative Scholarships-($1,000) Ten scholarships will be granted to high school seniors state-wide pursuing agriculture and non-agricultural majors. Applications are due March 1, 2011.

University of Wisconsin- Madison

Scholarship

Student attending the University of Wisconsin- Madison and are interested in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences may apply for university scholarships before Oct. 18.

University of Wisconsin- Platteville

Scholarship

Students attending the University of Wisconsin- Platteville and are interested in the Center for Plastics Processing Technology may apply for university scholarships before Jan. 24.

University of Wisconsin- River Falls

Scholarship 

 Students attending the University of Wisconsin- River Falls and are interested in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Science may apply for university scholarships before Jan. 8.

University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point

Scholarship

Students attending the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point may apply for university scholarships before June 1.

Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association

Scholarship

Wisconsin Cattlemen’s and Cattlewomen’s Scholarship- (Varies) High school seniors who plan to attend any university, technical college, community college, or the University of Wisconsin- Madison agriculture short course program may apply. Applications are due March 17.

Wisconsin Pork Producers

Scholarship

Wisconsin Pork Association Scholarship- ($500) High School seniors with a sincere interest in the pork industry are encouraged to apply. Applications are due Dec. 10.

Whitmore Memorial Scholarship- ($500) College juniors or seniors registered at the University of Wisconsin Madison, Platteville or River Falls may apply. Applicants must be in the top 1/3 of their class and GPA, extracurricular activity invovlement, leaddership positions, career interest and financial need will all be considered. Applications are due Dec. 10.

Gunderson Memorial Scholarship- Individuals who have shown considerable dedication and involvement in the pork industry will be considered for the scholarship. Dedication and involvement in the pork industry, establishment of own production herd, involvement on family operation will all be analyzed and priority will be given to those applicants who are beginning pork producers, or pursuing an animal science, agricultural production, or closely related major.

Youth Pig Product Scholarship- ($50) Pork Production Projects for 4-H and FFA youth ages 9-19, as of January 1.  The scholarships will be used to offset the costs associated with their pig project for the 2011-show season.  Five individuals will be selected. Applications will be judged in the following age categories: 9-12, 13-15, and 16-19.   Send applications to the Wisconson Pork Association.

WPS Foundation

 Scholarship

Agribusiness/ Forestry Scholarship- (Varies) High school senior who plans to attend any university of technical college can apply. Applicant must be the son or daughter of a customer with a primary residence in WPS territory or the son or daughter of an employee of WPS. Application is due Feb. 1.
