Missouri Scholarships and Intern Programs

College of the Ozarks

                Scholarship

                                Students interested in attending the College of the Ozarks may apply for university scholarships before April 1.

FCS Financial

             Internship

                                FCS Financial Internship-College sophomores, juniors, or seniors who are majoring in agricultural business, agricultural economics, animal science, agronomy, agricultural education, agricultural communications, general agriculture, business, or finance may apply.  Interns will learn the lending process, credit analysis and decisions, and appraisal and loan closing.

                Scholarship

                                FCS Financial Scholarship- ($1,000) High school seniors who are the child or grandchild of an FCS Financial customer in good standing may apply. Applicant must plan to attend a two- or four- year college in Missouri and pursuing a major in agriculture. Applications are due March 1.

Lafayette County

                Scholarship

                                Brandon Gieselman Memorial Scholarship- (Varies) High school seniors involved in 4-H or FFA may participate. Applicants must be a resident of Lafayette County. Applications are due March 1.

                                Lafayette County Cattlemen’s Scholarship- ($500) Lafayette County 4-H and FFA members who are a Junior of Collegiate member of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association are able to apply. Applicants’ parent must be a member of the Lafayette County Cattlemen’s Association. Applications are due April 1.

Lincoln University

                Scholarship

                                Students interested in attending Lincoln University may apply for university scholarships before Feb. 15.

MFA Incorporated

                Scholarship

                                MFA Foundation Scholarship- ($2,000) High school seniors with a reputation for good citizenship and good moral character can apply. Applicant must demonstrate participation and leadership in school, church, and community activities and pursue studies related to agriculture or other fields of study that benefit rural life. Applications are due March 15.

Missouri 4-H Foundation

                Scholarship

                                Missouri 4-H Scholarship- (Varies) High school applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA in order to apply. Selection is based primarily on 4-H achievement, leadership, citizenship, community service, and projects. Applications are due April 1.

Missouri Cattlemen’s Foundation

                Scholarship

                                Missouri Cattlemen’s Foundation Scholarship- (Varies) High school seniors or full time college students must be a Missouri resident and recommended by a member of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association in order to apply. Applicant must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Applications are due Sept. 30.

Missouri Corn

                Scholarship

                                Missouri Corn Scholarship-(Varies) College juniors and high school seniors who plan to or are attending a two- or four-year Missouri college and majoring in agronomy may apply. Applications become available on Dec. 15.                      

Missouri Department of High Education

                Scholarship

                                Marguerite Ross Barnett Memorial Scholarship- (Varies) Students who are employed and compensated for at least 20 hours of work per week can apply. Applicants must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Applications are due Aug. 1.

Missouri Farm Bureau

                Scholarship

                                C.R. Johnston Scholarship-(Varies) Students from the University of Missouri-Columbia who are majoring in animal science and whose parents are members of the Missouri Farm Bureau are eligible. Applications are due Feb. 15.

                                Missouri Farm Bureau Scholarship-($1,000) Students from the University of Missouri-Columbia who are majoring in animal science and whose parents are members of the Missouri Farm Bureau are eligible. Applications are due Feb. 15.

                                MFB Foundation for Agriculture Scholarship- (Varies) Students pursuing a degree and agriculture and whose parents are members of the Missouri Farm Bureau can apply. Applicants must attend the University of Central Missouri, College of the Ozarks, Northwest Missouri State University, Southeast Missouri State University, Missouri State University, or Truman State University.

                                Dodge Scholarship- ($1,000) Applicants must be an active member in FFA and from a Farm Bureau membership family who has documents a strong Supervised Agricultural Experience Program may apply. Applications are available through the National FFA Scholarship application and are due Feb. 15.

                                MFB Ambassador Scholarship- ($1,250) Applicants must be selected through their county Farm Bureau and must have been a member for one year prior to applications. Student must be planning to attend a two- or four-year college. Applications are due depending on independent county dates.

                                Vocational Scholarship Program- ($500) Students pursuing a degree or certificate in a field related to agriculture including heavy equipment operations, electronics, welding, and diesel and farm machinery repair can apply. Applicant must be the son or daughter of an active Farm Bureau member. Applications are due March 30.

Missouri Farmer’s Union

                Internship

                                MFU Interns- Applicants must be enrolled in college and have an interest in family farm agriculture or rural development. Internship areas of interest include administrative, communications, education, policy research and analysis, cooperative development, credit union, and member and community organizing. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

                Scholarship

                                Hubert K. Seymour Scholarship- ($2,000) High school seniors enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college may apply.

                                Stanley Moore National Scholarship-($1,000) Farmer’s Union members enrolled in a two- or four-year university may apply.

                                Gary Wiggins Memorial Scholarship- ($2,000) All students enrolled in a two- or four-year degree program in agriculture or related field from a college or university may apply. Applicant must plan to enter production agriculture or other related service to rural communities upon completion of their degrees. Applications are due Jan. 5.

Missouri Sheep Producers, Inc.

                Scholarship

                                Missouri Sheep Producers, Inc. Scholarship- ($750) High school seniors and college students may apply. Applications are due June 1.

Missouri State University

                Scholarship

                                Students interested in attending Missouri State University may apply for university scholarships before April 1.

MO-AG

                Scholarship

                                Jim Russell Foundation Scholarship- ($1,500) College sophomore, juniors, and seniors who are attending a four-year college in Missouri are eligible. Applicant must be majoring in a related field to agriculture. Applications are due Oct. 1.

Northwest Missouri State University

                Scholarship

                                Students interested in attending Northwest Missouri State University can apply for university scholarships before April 1.

Orscheln Farm and Home Supply, Inc.

                Scholarship

                                Orscheln Industries FFA and 4-H Scholarship- ($1,000) High school seniors who have been actively involved in the FFA or 4-H for four years of high school may apply. Applicant must exhibit leadership potential, possess good character/ moral traits and be recognized for good scholastics. Applicants are due depending on independent stores dates.

Southeast Missouri State University

                Scholarship

                                Students interested in attending Southeast Missouri State University may apply for university scholarships before March 1.

Truman State University

                Scholarship

                                Students interested in attending Truman State University may apply for university scholarships before Jan 15.

University of Central Missouri

                Scholarship

                                Students interested in attending the University of Central Missouri may apply for university scholarships before Dec. 1.

University of Missouri- Columbia College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources

                Scholarship

                                Students interested in attending the University of Missouri-Columbia’s College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources may apply for university scholarships before Dec. 1.

USA Rice Federation

                Scholarship

                                USA Rice Federation Scholarship-(Varies) High school seniors who are the son or daughter of a member of the USA Rice Federation may apply. Applications are due Oct. 15.
