Scholarship

Matt Benjamin Memorial Scholarship- ($1,500) High school seniors are able to apply. Selection is based on community involvement, academics, and financial need. Applications are ongoing.

Conservation Districts of Iowa

Scholarship

CDI Scholarship- (Varies) High school seniors who intend to pursue programs of study in any field of agriculture or natural resources are eligible. Applications are due March 3.

GROWMARK

Internship

GROWMARK Internships- GROWMARK offers a variety of internships that allow students to see a “real world” agribusiness environment focused on sales, marketing, and customer service activities. Students will receive experience in agronomy, energy, accounting, and grain systems.

Scholarship

GROWMARK Essay Contest for FFA-($500) FFA members must submit essay on provided topic and focus on careers in agriculture: agribusiness, food/ processing, government/ industry groups, and production/ farming. Applications are due March 12.

Iowa 4-H

 Scholarship

Alumni 4-H Scholarship- Private College- ($500) High school seniors may apply if they are attending an Iowa four- year private college in any field of study. Applications are due March 10.

Alumni 4-H Scholarship- UNI or UI Regent University- ($500) High school seniors may apply if they are attending UNI in Cedar Falls or University of Iowa in Iowa City in any field of study. Applications are due March 10.

Lloyd and Kathryn Bettis 4-H Scholarship- ($500) Any college undergraduate attending ISU in any field of study who is a former Monroe County 4-H member may apply. Applications are due March 1.

Calvin 4-H Scholarship- ($500) Any college undergraduate attending ISU in any field of study who is recognized as a 4-H member who has taken their own road—one who has done their best to fully experience 4-H and life may apply. Applications are due March 1.

Ralph and Agnes Dostal Memorial 4-H Scholarship- ($500) Any college undergraduate attending ISU in any field of study who has demonstrated participation in 4-h activities, community service, and college activities can apply. Applications are due March 1.

Duroe 4-H Scholarship- ($500) College freshmen attending ISU or any Iowa community college who is pursuing a degree in agriculture or ag business may apply. Applicant must be a resident of Buchanan, Benton, Black, Hawk, Bremer, Clayton, Delaware, Fayette, or Lynn county. Applications are due March 1.

Duroe/ AGR 4-H Scholarship- ($500) College freshmen attending ISU and majoring in agriculture or ag business may apply. Applicant must be a member in good standing of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Applications are due March 1.

Ellsworth Community College Equine 4-H Scholarship- ($750) First year students at Ellsworth, majoring in equine management or equine science may apply. Applicants must have been a 4-H member with preference given to those who participated in 4-H horse projects. Applications are due March 1.

C.J. Gauger 4-H Scholarship- ($750) College freshmen attending ISA in any field of study who have demonstrated participation in 4-H leadership programs and activities is eligible. Applications are due March 1.

Goering Communication 4-H Scholarship- ($1,000) College Freshmen attending Iowa State University, the Univerity of Northern Iowa, or the University of Iowa in any field of study may apply. Preference is given to a graduate of an Iowa public high school. Applications are due March 1.

Iowa State Fair 4-H Scholarship- ($1,000) College freshmen attending Iowa State University and majoring in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences or in family and consumer sciences field of study in the College of Human Sciences may apply. Applications are due March 1.

Juergens 4-H Scholarship- ($1,500) College freshmen attending Iowa State University in any field of study may apply. Priority is given to students with financial need. Applications are due March 1.

Kiser 4-H Scholarship- ($750) College freshmen attending Iowa State University and majoring in Animal science may apply. Applicant must show documentation of being an outstanding 4-H horse project participant. Applications are due March 1.

LA-CO Circle of Champions 4-H Scholarship- ($1,000) Any college undergraduate or graduate student attending any Iowa two- or four- year college is eligible. Applicants must be majoring in agriculture or related agricultural sciences. Applications are due March 10.

Mahr Family 4-H Scholarship- (Full year of tuition) Students attending Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences who has been a member of 4-H for five or more years may apply. Evidence of community service and leadership must be provided. Applications are due March 10.

Paul 4-H Scholarship- ($500) College freshmen attending Iowa State Univesrity in any field of study may apply. Priority is given to those with financial need and must reside in Muscatine or Scott county. Applications are due March 1.

Cheryl and David Pence Communication 4-H Scholarship- ($500) College freshmen attending any Iowa community college or four-year college in any field of study are eligible. Applicant must reside in Delaware, Hardin, Jackson, or Polk county. Applications are due March 1.

Pioneer Community College Scholarship- ($500) College freshmen attending any Iowa community college and majoring in agriculture or related field of study may apply. Applications are due March 1.

Quercus Landscapes 4-H Scholarship- ($500) Any college undergraduate attending and four-year or community college in Iowa or Minnesota is eligible. Applicants must be majoring in horticulture or landscape design. Applications are due March 1.

Roberts’s 4-H Scholarship- ($500) College freshmen attending Iowa State Univesrity or Univesrity of Northern Iowa or Central College/ Pella in any field of study may apply. Applicants must be a resident of Cass, Marion, Montgomery, or Story county. Applications are due March 1.

Roth Family 4-H Scholarship- ($500) Any college undergraduate attending Iowa State University in any field of study may apply. Documented leadership must be submitted and applicant must reside in Calhoun or Harding county. Applications are due March 1.

Schmalenberger 4-H Scholarship- ($1,000) College freshmen attending Iowa State University and majoring in agriculture are eligible. Applicant must reside in Boone, Calhoun, Greene, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Webster, or Wright county. Applications are due March 1.

Schulte 4-H Scholarship- ($500) College freshmen attending Univesrity of Northern Iowa and pursuing a degree in Elementary Education or a closely related field may apply. Applications are due March 1.

Stakey 4-H Scholarship- ($1,000) College freshman attending Iowa State University and enrolled in the College of Human Science pursuing a major in family and consumer science are able to apply. Applications are due March 1.

Stratton 4-H Scholarship- ($500) Any college undergraduate attending Iowa State Univesrity and majoring in Animal Science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is able to apply. Applicant must reside in Boone, Fremont, Mills, Plymouth, or Story county. Applications are due March 1.

Theisen’s Home and Farm 4-H Scholarship- ($1,000) College freshmen attending any Iowa four- year college majoring in agriculture or ag business are able to apply. Applicant must reside in Benton, Cedar, Chickasaw, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Floyd, Hardin, Jackson, Jasper, Jones, Linn, Marion, Marshall, Poweshiek, or Story county.

Iowa Central Community College

Scholarship

Students interested in attending Iowa Central Community College may apply for university scholarships before March 1.

 Iowa Corn Grower’s Association

Scholarship

Iowa Corn Future of America Scholarship- Program is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a degree in the 2011-12 school year. Ten scholarships will be awarded. Applicants must either be a member of iCGA or a dependent of a member. First-year scholarship applicants must be entering their first undergraduate year at an accredited junior college, college or university.  Upperclassman scholarship applicants must be entering at least their second year at an accredited junior college or university. 

Iowa Farm Bureau

Scholarship

Farm Bureau Scholarship- ($1,000) Students pursuing the complete of a two or four year degree may apply. County winner applications must be sent to the IFBF in Des Moines. Applicant must be the son or daughter of an Iowa Farm Bureau member. Applications are due March 1.

Iowa FFA Foundation

 Scholarship

Heartland Co-op Scholarship- ($1,000) Undergraduate students in two or four- year college programs are able to apply. Applicants must display outstanding leadership potential, good scholarships, and financial need. Students must also be a full time student at an Iowa college program that offers an agricultural degree or a two-year transferrable ag program to go on and major in an agricultural curriculum.

NEW Cooperative Scholarship- ($2,000) Undergraduate students in two or four- year college programs are able to apply. Applicants must display outstanding leadership potential, good scholarships, and financial need. Students must also be a full time student at an Iowa college program that offers an agricultural degree or a two-year transferrable ag program to go on and major in an agricultural curriculum.

Iowa Horse Council Scholarship- ($500) Undergraduate students in two or four- year college programs are able to apply. Applicants must display outstanding leadership potential, good scholarships, and financial need. Students must also be a full time student at an Iowa college program that offers an agricultural degree or a two-year transferrable ag program to go on and major in an agricultural curriculum.

Iowa Horse Council

Scholarship

IHC Scholarship- (Varies) High school seniors or college students may apply. Applicant must be a member or the son or daughter of a member of the Iowa Horse Council. Applications are due Feb. 15.

Iowa State Dairy Association

Scholarship

Iowa Jersey Cattle Club Memorial Scholarship- ($500) Students planning to attend an institute of higher learning are eligible. Selection is based on activities, projects and accomplishments in raising Jerseys, scholastic record, and the potential of the individual in pursuing a higher education. Applications are due June 18.

Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association

IJBBA Scholarship- (Varies) High school seniors who are a member of the Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association are able to apply. Applications are due June 1.

Iowa Lakes Community College

Scholarship

Students interested in attending the Iowa Lakes Community College may apply for university scholarships before April 1.

Iowa State Fair

Scholarship

“Winner’s Circle” Scholarship- (Varies) College-bound Iowa youth active in 4-H and/ or FFA livestock projects and current undergraduates may apply. Applicants must major in animal science or a curriculum in agriculture or human sciences that is related to the animal industry. Applications are due June 1.
