Salmonella concern in jalepenos leads to recall

Possible salmonella contamination has led to a recall of jalapeno peppers distributed in 10 states including Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.

The Castellini Company of Wilder, Kentucky distributed the jalapenos in question from March 8th through March 20th.

NO illnesses have been reported but the Food and Drug Administration says random testing by the Ohio Department of Agriculture at an Ohio store revealed “the presence of Salmonella” in a case of jalapeno peppers.
