Rural communities importance to election

A farm bureau government relations specialist says rural voters might be given greater attention in future elections.

“People out in the country, the nonurban, the nonsuburban voters, showed up election day in record numbers.”

Matt Kapp with Michigan Farm Bureau tells Brownfield the rural voter turnout in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania was much greater than expected and in Michigan the presidential election impacted state House republicans to their advantage.
