Winfield and Climate Corporation synergizing technologies

Winfield US and The Climate Corporation are further integrating technologies to help growers place inputs more efficiently.

Winfield ag technology applications lead Joel Wipperfurth says a two-way cross navigation exchange between their R7 tool and Climate Corp’s Climate Fieldview will facilitate quicker, data-driven decisions by farmers.

“Being able to pair up Climate’s nitrogen advisor and the ability to write prescriptions with the R7 tool and Winfield Answer Plot data…it’s a great day for sellers and growers looking for information on how to manage their inputs.”

The enhancements are expected to roll out in two phases ahead of the 2017 growing season.

“For fall, we’re going to have cross-functional navigation so when you’re in the script writer for Climate, you’ve got the ability to go across navigation into the R7 tool and look at the Answer Plot data.  by spring, we’ll have reciprocated that (by bringing it) over to the R7 tool.”

Wipperfurth tells Brownfield retailers will use the synergized data to assist with fall seed and spring nitrogen decisions.

He says farmers should expect a user-friendly tool that’s customizable and accessible from PC, laptop or tablet.
