Wet end to Michigan’s harvest

USDA’s last crop progress report of the season says Michigan’s harvest is expected to finish behind average as wet conditions persisted for much of last week.

The Great Lakes Regional Ag Statistics office says 88 percent of the state’s corn crop was harvested for grain as of Sunday, two percent behind the five year average. Soybeans are 94 percent harvested, six percent behind average.  Winter wheat was 92 percent emerged.
