Western Farm Show features ag innovation and friendly ‘Border Battle’
Innovation and technology are on display through Sunday, February 26 at the 56th Annual Western Farm Show in Kansas City. Show manager Ken Dean says the show attracts farmers wanting to learn about what is new in farm technology. Everything from heavy farm machinery, such as combines, tractors, forage equipment and livestock handling gear, to seed and crop protection products and services are part of the show at the American Royal Complex.
It’s also about the next generation of farmers. Busloads of FFA members, most from Missouri and Kansas, attend the Western Farm Show and take part in the friendly Border Battle, seeing which state’s members contribute the most food items to Harvesters Community Food Network of Kansas City.
