U.S. ethanol production tops 1 million barrels for 22nd week in a row

U.S. ethanol production has held above a million barrels a day for 22 consecutive weeks.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production last week averaged 1.054 million barrels a day, up 10,000 on the week.

U.S. ethanol production is on pace to exceed the USDA’s corn for ethanol demand projection for the current marketing year, helping to lessen some of the impact of last year’s record crop.

The industry is anticipating continued good domestic demand, but stocks did climb to a more than one year high last week, largely on seasonal factors, hitting 23.257 million barrels.
