U.S. corn, soybean ratings hold

U.S. corn and soybean condition ratings held over the past week as the crops move through key development phases.

As of Sunday, 76% of corn is rated good to excellent, steady with a week ago, and 56% of the crop is silking, compared to the five year average of 46%.

71% of soybeans are called good to excellent, unchanged on the week, with 59% of the crop blooming and 18% setting pods, both ahead of the normal pace.

69% of spring wheat is in good to excellent condition, down 1%, and 96% has headed, compared to 81% typically this time of year.

76% of winter wheat has been harvested, compared to 73% on average.

56% of pastures and rangelands are in good to excellent shape, 1% less than last week.
