Trump issues order to pull out of TPP

President Trump has signed an executive order to have the United States pull out of the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal. The 12-nation TPP is supported by numerous U.S. agriculture groups including the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the National Pork Producers Council who say it will increase trade and keep the U.S. competitive.  Trump has also put the USDA’s final interim GIPSA rule on hold. That rule is opposed by both groups (NCBA and NPPC).

Trump is expected to officially start the process of renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement, NAFTA.
