A major turkey producer is assessing the damages after a series of tornadoes struck northwestern Wisconsin Tuesday evening.  Pat Solheid is a Vice President at Jennie-O-The Turkey Store in Barron, Wisconsin.  She tells Brownfield the tornado hit one of their farms near Cameron, Wisconsin causing total destruction or severe damage to six of their turkey barns at one farm.  Jennie-O has several farms in the region, and Solheid confirms that just one of their sites was affected.  She says they do not yet know how many birds were lost or what the damage estimates are.

County Farm Service Agency officials are also working with other farmers to assess damage and assist with program claims.

The storm system developed near the Minnesota border and created a 150-mile path of destruction for more than four hours Tuesday night.  One person died and 25 people were injured in Barron County.
