Search warrants issued in dicamba investigation

The Environmental Protection Agency has confirmed that it issued search warrants in its investigation of dicamba herbicide injury on soybeans and other crops in southeastern Missouri.  The damaged soybeans are the result of alleged misapplication of an old formulation of dicamba on cotton engineered to be tolerant of the herbicide.

Special Agents of the EPA’s Criminal Investigation Division served the search warrants the week of October 10 at several locations in southeast Missouri.

The Missouri Department of Agriculture has received 124 dicamba-related complaints this summer alleging damage to more than 41,000 acres.
