Rain forecasted for Ohio in November

A meteorologist says the Ohio’s November weather outlook appears to be cold and wet. Jim Noel with the National Weather Service says the beginning of the month will be dry and warmer.

“But generally we transition then gradually to a little bit better of a pattern as we move through the month of November.” says Noel.

Noel tells Brownfield much of the northern part of the state will see most of the colder temperatures as well as above average rainfall.  But he says earlier in the month, farmers will have better weather conditions to finish harvesting.

“The better opportunities are in the first week or two of November and as we get into the second half of the month we will see more rain opportunities. One thing that should be noted is that we are seeing later than normal freeze conditions, as well as the above normal temperatures.” says Noel.

Noel says those above normal temperatures and limited frost have helped crops including the emergence of winter wheat.
