American Farm Bureau Federation leaders are comfortable with EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt overseeing the Waters of the U.S. review.  “In whatever actions occur, we have a confidence that Administrator Pruitt and his team that I know he’s still getting assembled at EPA, but that his new team is going to be providing a seat for us to be at the table when this is being worked on and talked about down the road.”

American Farm Bureau Federation’s Executive Director of Public Policy Dale Moore tells Brownfield Pruitt addressed more than 500 members attending the Farm Bureau Advocacy Conference right after President Trump signed the order stopping WOTUS.  Moore says Pruitt will take EPA in a positive direction.  “Mr. Pruitt made it very clear that he is going to be striving to bring certainty back, knowing that there will be occasions when not every regulation is something we like, but at least it will be clear and it will be certain, and importantly, it will be consistent with the law that Congress has passed and put in place.”

Moore was also pleased with President Trump’s address to Congress, saying he didn’t directly talk about agriculture but did address big ag issues including infrastructure rebuilding and immigration reform.
