Prices paid to Minnesota farmers for soybeans, wheat up on the year

February prices paid to Minnesota farmers for soybeans and wheat were up from a year ago, but corn prices dipped.

The USDA Monthly Price report says the average price received for soybeans climbed more than $1.40 cents compared to February 2016, to $9.54 per bushel.

The February 2017 price for spring wheat averaged $4.85, 40 cents higher than the same period a year ago.

Minnesota corn farmers were paid an average of $3.25 per bushel last month, six cents below last year.

Hay prices were off $13 dollars per ton compared to February 2016, averaging $70 dollars.

And USDA says the February milk price was $18.70 per hundredweight, an improvement of $2.60 from February 2016.
