Path cleared for Enlist Duo this year

Top Story IconGrowers will be able to use Dow’s Enlist Duo this growing season if they choose. A federal appeals court has denied the EPA’s motion to vacate registration for the active ingredients in the product. The EPA had petitioned to vacate the label – saying it needed to do more study of the ingredients: 2,4-D choline and glyphosate. The court decision means Enlist Duo is available to growers and DowAgrosciences issued a statement saying it will continue to cooperate with the EPA concerning the herbicide.

When the EPA filed the motion late last year, Dow said it was confident in the “extensive data supporting” the new technology. The agency had already approved Enlist Duo for use in the Brownfield states of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Nebraska and seven other states. It has not yet been approved for use in cotton.
