OFBF to hold Trends and Issues Conf.

Ohio Farm Bureau members will have an opportunity on Thursday morning, March 27 to hear about a couple of key issues and then discuss those issues and others during their advisory team meetings that afternoon.

David White, Senior director, commodity relations at the Ohio Farm Bureau says a couple of morning speakers will provide the background for the advisory team discussions.

“Terry Fleck who is with the Center for Food Integrity will be discussing agriculture’s social license to operate and how agriculture should go about working to maintain that social license and then following him we’ll have a speaker in who will be discussing privacy issues involving Big Data,” White said.

The big data discussion will be led by Matt Bechdol of Geo Silos.

The deadline for Ohio Farm Bureau members to register for the Trends and Issues Conference is this Thursday, March 20.
