New feed mill planned to support hog expansions in Eastern Corn Belt

A new feed mill in Northeastern Indiana is in the works to support the region’s growing pork industry.

Co-Alliance and Farmers Grain & Feed Company have signed a Letter of Intent to build the new facility in Columbia City, Indiana.

CEO of Co-Alliance Kevin Still says regionally manufactured feed gives grain farmers another market for their crop and gives livestock farmers a consistent, quality, and local source for their feed.

Co-Alliance is a partnership of cooperatives that serves customers in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio in the areas of energy, agronomy grain marketing, and swine and animal nutrition. Farmers Grain & Feed Company has six grain elevators across Eastern Indiana.
