New dean chosen for U of IL ag school

Programs ICONAn associate dean of agriculture at Washington State has been chosen as the new agriculture dean at the University of Illinois.

If approved by the board of trustees, Kimberlee Kidwell will become dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) in Champaign, Illinois in November. She’ll succeed ACES Dean Robert Hauser.

Kidwell is an alumni of the University of Illinois who earned her advanced degrees from the University of Wisconsin. U of I says Kidwell is a nationally respected scholar of plant breeding and genetics.
