Nebraska Farm Bureau is celebrating 100 years

Nebraska Farm Bureau unveiled its 100th anniversary sculpture at an event in Lincoln.

Nebraska Farm Bureau is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017. President Steve Nelson says centennial events will be held throughout the year.

“We will culminate the celebration at our annual meeting this coming December, but because we know a lot of people can’t always get to the annual meeting we want to have some other events,” Nelson says. “So we have a northeast Nebraska event that’s coming up in the summer. We also have an event that we’ll be doing in Scottsbluff sometime this summer as well.”

A 100th anniversary kickoff event was held recently in Lincoln.  It included the unveiling of a centennial sculpture and the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation’s “Cornerstone Campaign”, which will help fund programs that promote an understanding of and appreciation for Nebraska agriculture.
