An analysis by the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) finds more than 70 percent of 2016 vehicles are approved for use of E15.  That’s up almost 10 percent from last year.

Fiat Chrysler now joins General Motors, Ford and several other manufacturers in approving vehicles that use the blend of15 percent ethanol and 85 percent gasoline.  The analysis says Nissan Motor Company with 8.5 percent of U.S. market share is the largest “hold-out” for approving E15 vehicles.

The Environmental Protection Agency has approved the use of E15 in all 2001 and newer vehicles.
