The condition ratings for the nation’s corn and soybean crops were virtually unchanged from last week, but continue to run below year-ago levels.

Corn was rated 67 percent good to excellent, the same percentage as last week but eight points behind last year at this time. Soybeans also rated 67 percent good to excellent, up one percent from last week, but down six points from last year.

The winter wheat rating declined slightly to 49 percent good to excellent. That compares to 61 percent good to excellent last year at this time.
