Keeping agriculture interests at the table

Michael Conaway, House Ag Committee Chairman (2)_webMembers of the House Ag Committee had an opportunity to meet with the U.S. Trade Representative to talk Trans Pacific Partnership and other trade related issues.

Michael Conaway, Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee tells Brownfield following that meeting with U.S. Trade Representative Froman on the status of TPP and other trade related issues, he’s encouraged by the work being done.

“He’s certainly cognizant of the sugar industry’s issues and the rice industry’s issues and dairy issues, so obviously on top of his game,” Conaway said. “I came out of the meeting encouraged that he’s moving in the right direction.”

When asked when he expected the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement to conclude, the Trade Representative told the House Ag Committee he’s hopeful it will be in the coming months, which Chairman Conaway said was encouraging.

  • I know that you have been blinded by your desires to increase markets for agricultural products around the World. The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) will be one of the worst things that could ever happen to America and member nations around the Pacific Rim. I won’t take the time and space to explain here. I will, instead, provide a url that will take you to a webpage where you can read a comparative review of the Investment Chapter of TPP. This is the newest leaked document obtained by Wikileaks. The same chapter was leaked previously in 2012 and it is compared to the present leak in the linked article.

When you have read the article you will clearly see that all the nay-saying by members of Congress is either because they are not seeing what is in front of them or they are purposefully lying about what they know.

The only thing we can do is make sure we tell them what we have found and try to get them to read what we find about TPP and the TTIP.

Most importantly, no-one in Congress, the Supreme Court and the White House can be trusted any longer. Any of them that have served for the length of time specified in Article I and Article II of the Constitution must be voted out of office in the 2016 elections. The Constitution does not allow for reelection of anyone to any office as you will clearly see if you read those articles.

You will have to dig deep and use your grammar knowledge to understand that the use of the word “shall” by the Framers served to emphasize that they were adamant that those numbers of years were set in stone and not to be changed by anyone,

Why, because elected officials face unguarded temptations that they are more likely to take advantage of if they are exposed to them over time. Thus, they intentionally limited the amount of time each Senator, Representative and President can serve before they complete their time of service and return home to take up the lives they left in order to serve.

The Roosevelt machine so abused the Constitutional limits that Roosevelt was elected to four terms, dying as he started the fourth term. He is the reason that the 22 nd Amendment was written and ratified, or, his abuses of the Constitutional limits are the reason for the 22nd Amendment which does limit the President to two four-year terms in office.

Is that all that the 22nd Amendment does? No, it is not. The 22nd Amendment also allows a President to seek a second term in office. This amendment must be repealed so that government can fall back in line with the Framers intent.

Lets all be aware of what is happening in America and work hard to expose what we find that does not comply with the plain English of the Constitution.

Here is the link to follow in order to read what is in the leaked Chapter of TPP concerning Investments.

Do not push for TPP to improve your future trade possibilities. If you do you will be sponsoring the destruction of the sovereignties of the member nations and possibly of others countries as well.
