“What’s the need that farmers have and how do we make sure we have a good solution for that?”  Asgrow/DEKALB Brand Manager Becca Waller told Brownfield her company is focused on innovation and solutions for farmers.  Evidence of that can be found in the harvest results coming in from the “Ground Breakers Field Trials” that included thirty-three farmers in five states participating in the full Roundup Ready 2 Xtend crop system trials in the 2016 growing season for the first soybeans tolerant to both glyphosate and dicamba herbicides.  Waller said the farmers experienced good weed control and yield with the Asgrow Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans in the trials.  On the corn side, she said, the launch of a new lineup of DEKALB Disease Shield corn products is good news for farmer.

Waller says day to day listening to farmers and continual needs assessments on the ground across the country help her company determine challenges so they are able to provide the right product for the right field for farmers.

Farmers today, Waller explained, are utilizing available technology to help them better understand yield and performance data. She told Brownfield farmers want to be sure they are investing in the right areas and making smarter decisions throughout the growing season.
