Indiana and Michigan cooperatives merge
North Central Cooperative and Ceres Solutions will officially merge to become Ceres Solutions Cooperative September 1st.
Jeff Troike will lead the new company. He tells Brownfield the co-ops have come together to better serve farmers and remain relevant to the needs of a changing industry. “We’re doing nothing more than what is happening with our customers. There’s continued consolidation at the farm gate, we need to be in a position and have the ability to service the farmers’ demands as they grow bigger.”
He says the new cooperative will be better equipped to provide new services and technology for farmers as agriculture becomes more data driven.
Ceres Solutions Cooperative will continue to serve current customers in more than 35 counties throughout Indiana and Michigan.
