Indiana Farm Bureau names statewide Young Farmer awards

The Indiana Farm Bureau has named two of its three Young Farmer award winners.

Dallas and Meggie Foster of Hancock County won the Young Farmer Achievement Award, which recognizes young farmers who earn the majority of their income from their farms.  Deidra Gottbrath of Washington County received the Excellence in Agriculture Award, which recognizes young farmers who earn the majority of their income off the farm.

The third winner will be named following the Discussion Meet contest held at the Indiana Farm Bureau’s annual meeting next month.

All three winners will represent Indiana at the American Farm Bureau annual meeting in January in Phoenix.
