First suit before court against Syngenta about MIR162

The first of eight class-action lawsuits brought by corn farmers against Syngenta begins today in Kansas City, Kansas. Attorneys for those farmers say damages could be as high as five-Billion to seven-Billion-dollars caused by China’s rejection of Syngenta’s Agrisure Viptera (MIR162) corn in 2013. Syngenta claims it is not responsible for the losses and that the lawsuits lack merit.
