DuPont Pioneer launches A-Series soybeans

DuPont Pioneer has introduced a new line-up of soybeans.  Research Scientist Charlie Zila says the A-Series soybean varieties are the company’s highest yielding line of soybeans.

He says they contain the company’s proprietary Accelerated Yield Technology 4.0.  “A-Series when we look back compared to the T-Series and the Y-Series before that, presents just a tremendous leap forward in yield potential primarily over some of our older products,” he says.

Zila tells Brownfield the new lineup also provides growers with better protection against diseases.   “When we look at traits like either Sudden Death Syndrome or Phytopthora Root Rot, or White Mold – a lot of these A-Series are bringing a lot of strength for some of these agronomic and disease traits,” he says.  “They are improvements in their counterparts in the T-Series.”

The new lineup consists of more than 28 varieties for the Eastern Corn Belt and will be available for the 2017 growing season.
