Donnelly receives NCGA’s President’s Award

Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly is this year’s recipient of the National Corn Growers Association’s President’s Award.  The award is given annually to a leader who has worked to advance issues important to corn farmers and agriculture.

NCGA president Chip Bowling says the Senator is one of ethanol’s biggest champions in Congress and is a true advocate for farmers in Indiana and around the country.  He says Donnelly has also fought to improve and clarify the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers’ Waters of the US rule.  Bowling says the junior Senator from Indiana is a leader and problem solver at a time when Washington desperately lacks both.

Senator Donnelly says Indiana and America’s corn farmers provide the feed, food, and fuel to feed families and power the economy and he works hard to bring the wisdom of America’s farmers to Washington to advance the interests of farming and rural communities.

The Indiana Corn Growers Association says it is thrilled to see Senator Donnelly receive national recognition for the work he does in Washington, DC to ensure agriculture, not only in Indiana, but across the country can continue to thrive.
