Discussing the drought’s impact with Iowa Ag Secretary Northey
Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey says his state is not as bad off as states further to the east, but could still be looking at an overall reduction in corn yield of 30 percent or more from earlier expectations.
In this interview with Brownfield’s Ken Anderson, Northey discusses the drought’s impact on Iowa’s crops and farmers, and the heightened tension between corn, ethanol and livestock producers. He also talks about his recent meeting with Mitt Romney and what he had to say to the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee.
