Dinneen says Trump gets it about ethanol

bob-dinneen-2016-nafb-trade-talk-editThe head of the Renewable Fuels Association says the future of ethanol is bright under a Trump administration.

Bob Dinneen tells Brownfield that the president-elect made it clear during his campaign that he gets it, “He had visited several ethanol plants. He kicked the tires. He came away from those experiences understanding what ethanol meant as a fuel, understanding what a tremendous economic driver it was throughout rural communities.”

Dinneen tells Brownfield that Trump’s desire to end needless regulation – such as the limits put on ethanol by the current EPA – will help advance higher ethanol blends under a new EPA, “Because we can get rid of the disparate, regulatory treatment of E-10 and E-15 and other blends that EPA has imposed for no air quality benefit, no consumer benefit. They only impose a cost on business.”

Dinneen says Trump wants all kinds of domestic energy production and so does the Renewable Fuels Association.

Brownfield interviewed Dinneen at the 2016 NAFB Convention in Kansas City.
