Developing Ohio farmers’ leadership skills

An academy to develop Ohio grain farmers’ leadership skills is now accepting applications.  The Ohio Corn & Wheat Leadership Academy is open to Ohio men and women with a commitment to Ohio agriculture.

Tadd Nicholson, executive director of Ohio Corn and Wheat says as the number of farmers decreases it is more important to have more engaged farmers with stronger voices.

The two session statewide leadership development program educates and encourages Ohio grain producers to be more involved with the organization and its grassroots programs.  The professional development program helps farmers enhance leadership, business, and communication skills.

The deadline to apply for Class 4 is May 27.
