BASF & FMC to offer combined in-furrow products

Two ag chemical companies will offer a combined technology in-furrow product for corn growers.

FMC’s Capture insecticide will be available with BASF’s Headline fungicide in a single product.  A joint statement from the companies says the proprietary LFR technology mixes readily with liquid fertilizers and provides consistent active ingredient distribution by staying in suspension for uniform application.

Each company will offer new products available next year as a result of the agreement. FMC will launch Temitry™ LFR® Insecticide/Fungicide. BASF will launch Manticor™ LFR® In-furrow Fungicide/Insecticide.  FMC’s Fungicides and Insecticides Manager Rick Ekins tells Brownfield EPA registration has been received for both new products, and they are going through the individual state registrations now.  Ekins says the products will definitely be available for 2017.  He says the label updates will be posted on their website as the state registrations get completed.
