Agtech investment falls

There’s less investment in the agtech sector so far this year.  Compared to the first half of 2015, venture investment in agriculture technology fell 20 percent to $1.75 billion, according to AgFunder.com.  Globally, those investments are down 14 percent compared to the first half of 2015.

The glimmer of good news is that the number of deals grew 7 percent since a year ago, and there are 52 percent more investors than in the first half of 2015.
